Booked Mechanic Jobs
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This policy explains what Booked Mechanic Jobs collects when you use this website and our campaign setup service, why we collect it, and who it is shared with.
1. Introduction
Booked Mechanic Jobs (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides the Meta campaign setup service described on this website and is responsible for the information practices set out in this policy. The site is operated by King Mechanic Agency. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, store and disclose information when you visit BookedMechanicJobs.com or buy our campaign setup service.
It covers information you give us and information we receive automatically through:
- This website and the pages you view on it
- Our checkout
- The onboarding form you complete after paying
- Booking a technical setup call
- Contact and support requests, including Messenger, phone and WhatsApp
- Campaign setup and the work we do in your advertising account
- Emails we send you about your purchase and your call
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the website or the service.
2. Information We Collect
What we hold depends entirely on how far you go. Simply reading this website leaves us far less than buying and onboarding does.
If you only browse
We do not ask you for anything. Only the technical and campaign information described in sections 4 and 5 below is involved.
If you contact us
We receive whatever you choose to send us, and the details the channel itself carries — for example your Messenger profile name, or the phone number you message us from on WhatsApp.
If you buy the setup
- The name and email address associated with your payment, as your payment provider reports them to us
- A payment reference, the amount, the currency and the date
If you complete onboarding
The onboarding form asks for the information needed to build your campaign:
- Business name and owner name
- Business phone number and email address
- Your website, where you have one
- Your Facebook Page name
- The services you offer
- Your primary city, the areas and ZIP codes you want to reach, and your service radius
- The daily advertising budget you want to run
If you book a technical call
- The date, time and time zone you select
We do not ask for, and have no use for, government identifiers, dates of birth, or bank account numbers.
3. Payment Information
Payments for the setup fee are processed by PayPal. Your payment is completed on PayPal’s own screens, under PayPal’s own terms and privacy policy.
We do not receive, process or store your full card or debit card number, your card security code, or your PayPal password. Those never reach our systems.
What we do receive back from PayPal, and keep as the record of your purchase, is:
- A payer reference, an order reference and a capture reference
- The payer name and email address PayPal reports
- The amount and currency captured — for this service, $97 USD
- The status of the payment and the date it was captured
PayPal handles your payment details as an independent controller of that information. Please read PayPal’s own privacy policy for how they use it.
4. Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this one and the services behind it may record technical information when you visit, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and the order you viewed them in
- The page or advertisement that referred you
- Date and time of your visit
- Server and error logs used to keep the site working
This is used to serve the website, to keep it secure, to diagnose faults, and to understand in aggregate how the page performs.
6. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Provide the campaign setup service you paid for
- Build and launch your advertising campaign
- Process your payment and keep a record of it
- Send you your payment confirmation and your call confirmation
- Schedule and carry out your technical setup call
- Respond to your questions and provide support
- Assess and process a refund request under our Refund Policy
- Measure how our own advertising performs
- Improve the website and the service
- Keep the website and our systems secure and prevent fraud
- Diagnose and fix technical problems
- Maintain ordinary business and accounting records
- Meet legal or regulatory obligations where they apply to us
8. Advertising Platforms
Our service is the setup of advertising campaigns, so some information necessarily reaches Meta. This happens in two ways.
Measuring our own advertising
When you take a key action on this website, we report that event to Meta so we can measure and improve our own campaigns. Where we send contact details for matching, they are hashed using SHA-256 before being transmitted for that conversion measurement — your email address and name are not transmitted to Meta in readable form by us. Hashing is a one-way process, not encryption: the original value cannot be recovered from the hash.
Building your campaign
The campaign we build for you runs in your own Meta account, which you own and control. The business details you give us at onboarding are used inside that account to target and run your campaign. Meta processes that information under its own terms as the operator of the advertising platform.
9. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as is reasonably necessary to:
- Provide and support the service
- Maintain accurate payment and business records
- Resolve disputes and assess refund requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Meet legal, tax or accounting obligations that apply to us
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims
When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it or stop associating it with you. We have deliberately not stated a fixed number of years here, because the right period differs between a payment record and a support message.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. This website is served only over an encrypted connection, payment details are handled by PayPal rather than by us, our operations area is behind an authenticated session, and the identifiers we send for advertising measurement are hashed using SHA-256 before they leave our server.
No website, server or method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot promise absolute security, and you share information with us on that understanding.
11. Third-Party Websites and Services
This website links out to services we do not control, including Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and PayPal. Following one of those links takes you onto a service governed by that company’s own terms and privacy policy.
We are not responsible for the independent privacy practices of any third party, and this policy does not cover them.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to you, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete information we no longer have a proper reason to keep
- Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to a particular use
- Ask for a copy in a portable format
- Tell us not to send you marketing
Not every right applies to every person or in every situation, and some are limited where we must keep a record — a completed payment, for example. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 16. We may need to verify who you are before we act, and we will not treat you differently for exercising a right you have.
13. California Privacy
California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws, which can include the right to know what personal information is collected and disclosed, the right to request deletion or correction, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in exchange for payment.
We use Meta’s advertising technologies as described in sections 5 and 8, which some California rules may treat as “sharing” for targeted advertising. If you would like us to stop that for you, contact us using the details in section 16 and we will act on your request. Whether every obligation under these laws applies to a business of our size depends on thresholds we do not assert here; we will honour verified requests regardless.
14. Children’s Privacy
This service is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally.
